Winter Break Camp
Winter Break Camp 2020 - December 21-23 & 28-30, 2020
Get up and get outside! Come and join Woldumar’s staff on one or all of our fun-filled Winter Break Camp days.

COVID-19 Update:
As we are all forced to adapt to a "new normal," our camp experience will be a bit different than what we had planned. The most likely changes are detailed below:
> We are planning activities that maintain safe physical distance, eliminate interaction between groups, and limit the sharing of supplies among group members.
> We will enforce strict hygiene and sanitation protocol among staff and campers.
> Campers will be required to wear masks under certain circumstances.
> Campers will be subject to a daily health screening including temperature checks.
> We will not be able to offer before or after camp extended care.
For more information see our Covid-19 Preparedness and Response Plan.
If camp sessions are canceled for health and safety reasons as directed by local, state, or national health officials, full refunds will be issued, including deposits. If you are in need of financial assistance due to the COVID-19 outbreak, please complete a scholarship request.
Open to children grades K-6. Please remember to dress for the weather as we will be outside every day.
On December 21-23 & 28-30, we offer full winter camp days from 9 am-4 pm.
CAMP ACTIVITY
SCHEDULE
December 21st: Winter Science
Step out into the world as we experience the science behind snowshoeing, sledding, and ice! Even if there’s no snow, our experiments will give campers a reason to warm up with some hot chocolate!
December 22nd: Animal Adaptations
Where do all the animals go in winter? We will use our inquiry skills to practice tracking animals, learning about their habitats, and how Michigan animals stay warm all winter.
December 23rd: Survival & History
Campers will practice building shelters and learn how to start a campfire for warmth. We’ll fire up the wood burning stove and explore how settlers kept busy during the cold winter months.
Week 2.
December 28th: Winter Science
We're closing out the year with some frozen fun. Snow or not, get ready for a day of Winter Fun!
December 29th: Citizen Science
We're trading out lab coats for winter gear as we gather data about the natural world around us. Come learn about and how to participate in different types of citizen science projects.
