DIFFERENT OPTIONS FOR DIFFERENT AGE GROUPS

Each camp described below is carefully designed and implemented for the targeted age group based on the weekly theme.


PRE-K - GRADE 1: CAMP DISCOVERY JR

Camp Discovery Jr. is offered for campers who would benefit from a half day of camp. The week’s activities are specifically adapted for a younger audience. Campers must be at least 4 years old and are recommended to have completed one year of preschool.

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Monday through Friday

Full week: Members: $90/camper; Non-members: $105/camper


GRADES 1-7: CAMP DISCOVERY

Camp Discovery offers children time to explore, observe and study nature through fun hands-on activities, games and crafts. Campers will investigate Woldumar’s outdoor wonderland through age-appropriate activities based on the weekly theme. Every session will end with an all-camp “Family Festival” which parents, guardians, and other family members are encouraged to attend.

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday

Members: $160/camper; Non-members: $195/camper

 

GRADES 8-10: ECO-CAREERS TEEN CAMP

Eco-Careers Camp allows teens to learn about possible career choices in nature and ecology. Campers will talk to professionals and learn about the wide range of opportunities in the workforce. Campers will even get a behind the scenes look at Woldumar and how it functions as a private, non-profit nature center.

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday

Members: $190/camper; Non-members: $225/camper


GRADES 8-10: COUNSELOR-IN-TRAINING (CIT)

Woldumar’s CIT program is designed to prepare teens to share in the responsibility of educating and mentoring campers. During the first week, CITs will get to know each other, learn about our camps, and learn what it takes to be a great counselor. During the second week, each CIT will be matched up with a camp counselor to help lead a camp group.

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, June 20 – 24 and June 27 – July 1 (2 weeks)

Members: $250/camper; Non-members: $305/camper

CAMPING OUT

Sessions 3 and 5 include an optional camp out at Woldumar!Campers MUST be at least 7 years old and will sleep in a tentwith like-aged children.Woldumar will provide Thursday night dinner, s’mores, and Friday morning breakfast. On Monday, each camp group will organize their packing list. Each camp out is limited to the ifrst 30 registrants, and requires an additional $30 fee ($45 after the camp session begins, if space is available.)

DAY-BY-DAY - SESSION 9

For the week of August 21-25, campers can attend camp for the whole week or sign up day-by-day. Please be sure to register early, as there is limited availability during this session. Per day pricing is $32 for Woldumar members, and $39/day for non-members.

EXTENDED CARE OPTIONS

To accommodate busy schedules, extended care is available for all full-day campers. Extended care is supervised, unstructured playtime.

Before Care begins at 7:30am

After Care campers must be picked up no later than 6:00pm

Fee: $20/camper/week for before OR after care.
OR…. $10/per day for ONE day of before OR after care.

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE

Our scholarship program aims to help families with financial needs. We want all children to experience the benefits of spending week outdoors at Woldumar.

REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations which occurmore than 7 days prior to a camp session’s start date, will be refunded, but charged a $30 processing fee. The $30 may be applied to any future session during the 2017 summer camp season. Cancellations which occur less than one week prior to the camp’s start date, will be refunded 50% – the other 50% is forfeited and cannot be applied to any future sessions.

If full payment is not received 7 days prior to the start of the camp week, your spot may be forfeited.
