WINTER BREAK CAMP

January 2-5, 2018

Get up and get outside! Come and joint Woldumar’s staff on one or all of our fun-filled Winter Break Camp days. Campers will experiment outside every day, so there will be no “cabin fever” complaints. Click here to see a pdf of the 2017-8 Winter Break Camp Flyer.

Camp Activity Schedule

January 2nd: Wilderness Survivalstream in winter

Bundle up and spend the day outside learning how to survive without technology. Campers will practice building forts, tracking animals, and learn how to start a campfire for warmth.

January 3rd: Amazing Adaptations

Animals come in many shapes and sizes! Explore how different animals are suited to survive our Michigan winters. What characteristics will you choose as you design your own super creature?

January 4th: Snow Science

Step out into the world as we experience the science behind snow shoeing, skiing, sledding, igloos, and ice! Even if there is no snow on the ground, our frozen experiments will give campers a reason to warm up with some hot chocolate.

January 5th: Living History

Moon log cabin in winterWe’re firing up the wood burning stove and stepping back in time to learn about Michigan’s early settlers. With games and activities from the 1800’s, we’ll explore how the Moon family kept busy during the cold winter months.
